Description & Mechanism
SNAP-8 is a synthetic octapeptide designed as an extension of SNAP-25–derived peptide fragments. In biochemical and cellular research systems, SNAP-8 is studied for its interaction with components of the SNARE complex involved in vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release.
Experimental investigations examine peptide–protein interactions, modulation of synaptic signalling, and comparative activity relative to shorter SNAP-derived peptides.
